The first time

I talked to Cat on the phone I was sitting in my car in front of a coffee shop. I was on my way to getting some work done. I sat in the car for over an hour while we talked about life, work, films, living in Los Angeles, photography and everything else in between. I knew I met my person.

We connected again sometimes later when I was in Los Angeles in a place called Auntie Em’s. When Cat walked in I literally felt the air change. She brings energy to spaces. I am not sure how else to describe it. There is perpetual motion in and around her. And when you are caught in that current its magical. I am not sure how much we talked about her wedding that day but I walked away from the meeting with a strange sense of happiness. I could not wait for her wedding day.

And so when I showed up at the hotel on the day it felt every bit as comfortable but also charged with motion and energy just like I hoped I would. I met Brock and the way it always does the pieces fell into place. Who Cat is and who Brock is and who they are together. I have no doubt our path will cross again. And I really just can’t wait.

  • Katalin Gaspar - Vow! I like how you introduced Cat and how you tell the story of her wedding. Appropriately, the photos are composed like a dynamic, intuitive music – oh, like a beautifully orchestrated symphony!ReplyCancel
